2026 will mark KDE's 30th birthday. We want to use this opportunity to<br>
celebrate 30 years of an amazing Free Software community of course.<br>
I've had conversations with many people about what we want to do and<br>
have started planning now. We will have 2 major points in the year<br>
where celebrations will happen: Akademy and October 14th.<br>

There a a bunch of activities we have planned, all with these<br>
overarching goals in mind:<br>
* Show appreciation for contributors, who shaped KDE for all those years<br>
* Turn some people at the periphery into active contributors<br>
* Show KDE's achievements over the past 30 years<br>
* Build up excitement for the next 30 years<br>
* Fundraise based on the excitement built up<br>

I've created tickets for most of the things we want to do at<br>
