Hey folks :)

Here's your semi-regular update on all the things that are happening
around the goals we've set. Enjoy!

* We did an AMA on reddit on r/opensource. It went pretty well.
https://www.reddit.com/r/opensource/comments/8m2hrd/kde_set_goals_we_are_here_to_talk_about_them_ask/
* Sprints for the goals are being planned on phabricator. Please join
there if you want to participate. https://phabricator.kde.org/T8623,
https://phabricator.kde.org/T8622, https://phabricator.kde.org/T8621

Privacy:
* The telemetry policy discussion finished and the policy is now in
place. https://community.kde.org/Policies/Telemetry_Policy

Onboarding:
Some projects started actively engaging with this goal, currently
focused at attracting new devs which is a great starting point.
* PlasmaMobile
** Implemented a dedicated webpage with an interactive guide on
getting involved: https://www.plasma-mobile.org/findyourway/
** Working on a guide to setting up a development environment
https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Mobile/DevGuide
** Identifying junior jobs and revamping the descriptions of
phabricator tasks to make them friendly for newcomers by including
relevant useful details such as: short and to the point description,
suggested skill requirements, links to related technical resources.
(Example task https://phabricator.kde.org/T6945)
** Brainstorming the idea of having a dedicated application/widget
that helps newcomers initiating their first commit:
https://phabricator.kde.org/T8685
* KDEConnect
** Identifying junior jobs
** Blog post https://nicolasfella.wordpress.com/2018/05/13/kde-connect-junior-jobs/
** Workboard https://phabricator.kde.org/project/board/159/
** Feedback on process https://phabricator.kde.org/T8686
* Elisa
** Identifying Junior jobs
** Blog post https://mgallienkde.wordpress.com/2018/05/16/news-about-elisa/
** Workboard https://phabricator.kde.org/project/board/193/

Do you have anything that falls under the goals that I missed? Please
let us know!

Cheers
Lydia
