Bug 360170 & 381886

Why on earth would anyone leave a broken feature and code in an application
they don't plan on fixing or supporting, and update a bug telling someone
to use a different piece of software, then resolve the bug? This issue is
supposedly over 1yr old!

I understand people have day jobs and families, but this is just so bad. It
tells me devs have no pride in their work. K3b is an amazing tool and this
issue should not be happening. What is going on here?
