I'm neither a ubuntu nor debian user so I don't know much about
What I found that could help you:
        debian/patches/e93dccbd43217*.patch should already be in the
        15.10 release (it has been done in the master in March so before
        the release:
        <a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext"

        We are in the case: "applied by upstream".
So for me, there is no reason to have it anymore.

Then, you are in this process:
        https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SyncRequestProcess#For_people_requiring_sponsorship
class="anchor" id="line-44">

However, looking at https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=gcompris,
        there are the data, dbg and all the sound packages. I don't know
        if we need to create a bug for each of them?

On the page it is written:

There's a tool that automates the

            class="anchor" id="line-66">

        Maybe it can help you?

What you can also do is to ask in the devel list of gcompris (<a

              it's something that could be or has been applied

Could you file a separate bug about this issue at

Bug fixes are allowed even after the release, so it would be possible
to try to see if the fix for this bug could be picked on top of the
current 15.02 release.
