Gcompris and Ubuntu issues

Actually, setting noCursor to true is not a good idea in your case 
anyway as it does disable the cursor. Trying only with defaultCursor to 
true could be a good test, but that should result in the same as running 
"gcompris-qt -c", so if that didn't solve the issue...

That's not what we meant: try running "gcompris-qt" in a terminal, and 
then copy all the output shown in the terminal from there. Also, do the 
same with "gcompris-qt -c" to see if there's more relevant output.

As Ubuntu 22.4 is using wayland by default, you can try to switch back 
to using Xorg display server. To do this, on the user login page, first 
click on the user name, then before entering password, you'll see on the 
bottom-right corner a settings wheel. Click on this wheel, and select 
"Ubuntu on Xorg", then type password and login.

Also, just for reference, do you know what kind of hardware those 
computers are running (especially which GPU) ?
