Hi list,

I'm getting reports that the new NoMachine 4.3.x clients don't work with
a FreeNX server. At least one other organization seems to have confirmed
that: http://wiki.helpme.engr.scu.edu/index.php/FreeNX

My client gets as far as authenticating and choosing the session, but
seems to hang while starting the session and eventually drops the
connection. Same behaviour with the precise and trusty packages from
ppa:freenx-team/testing.

Does anyone know of a solution for this, besides holding clients at
4.2.x for now?

Hi,

I am suprised that any 4.x client worked with freenx, because
I thought they rewrote the underlaying library for compressing the
x-protocol. You might now see the breakage and I fear it will not
be fixed by no-machine.

Bye Henning

I can confirm that 4.3.x does not work with freenx. Unfortunately I don't
have a work around. Would it be possible for anyone with a known good
nomachine_4.2.27_1.exe to post the md5/sha* sum for it? I found this
binary on filehippo.com and am keen to see if the 4x client improves
end user experience. Thanks.

Mark
