My MacBook Pro appears to be up to date with regard to firmware, but do
you happen to know what firmware upgrades were involved. The problem
is very perplexing, and really limiting my ability to do the things I

I can just tell you that on one of our machines the issues magically
disappeared after a firmware update (it's a laptop), while on another
one they remained. We still have no clue what's going on.
