I prefer not to use <br>it, but if there was ever a time to use it, I think this is it. I'm at <br>wit's end.<br><br>I am desperately trying to get nx running on Fedora 8 and have about 8 <br>hours before my 70 users expect me to have it working. The packages <br>which get installed when I "yum update freenx" are these:<br><br>freenx-server-0.7.2-8.fc8<br>nx-2.1.0-22.fc7<br><br>When I try to connect (I'm using the 3.2.0-9 nomachine client) it gets <br>to "Downloading session information" and then gives me a "connection <br>error" dialog. I am listing the contents of that dialog, the contents of <br>the file it says to look at, and
the contents of the nxserver.log file. <br><br>I should say that I was using the CentOS 5 packages and they were <br>working well until it just mysteriously broke over the weekend. I'm <br>switching to the F8 packages because I assume people would be better <br>able to help if I am using the F8 packages.<br><br>This part jumps out at me:<br><br>Error: Call to bind failed for TCP port 6000.
