Greetings!

I've done some testing of RDP over NX (connect to a Windows XP/2003 Server using NX client on FC4 ->FreeNX Server on RHEL ->RDP on WinXP. I have found that the performance of RDP over NX is very poor (upto 5 times slower to start applications as well as generally laggy feel (this is over a 150 ms latency 256 Kbps Internet Link ). Straight forward RDP how ever seems to provide a much better experience (using rdesktop to connect directly to the XP server). Some of the FreeNX material (Kurt Pfeifel's article in particular - the arrival of NX) and even NoMachine's marketing material say that NX makes RDP work better.

Any suggestions or ideas on what settings would give us a performance boost using RDP over NX?

Regards
Chetan
