Hi All,

Is anyone out there successfully using NX or FreeNX over a DSL speed
link with a Microsoft wireless keyboard. I don't use one myself but we
have a user who does and is having the following problem. Typing with a
Microsoft wireless keyboard randomly does a carriage return and places
the cursor at the beginning of the line. There's no logical sequence to
this. It doesn't appear to be just a hardware issue, as it works
perfectly on the PC itself. It does this every 5 to 20 characters with
NX. Is this simply a latency issue or maybe a bug?

I've had the same problem not with NX, but with Cygwin and XDMCP.

For whatever reason, the keyboard I have (MS Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.0a) spawns random HOME keypresses (as captured by xev) whenever you're typing under some bizarre circumstances I've yet to fully determine.

What fixed it for me was to disable the homekey completely using xmodmap, and re-map it to some other key (I remapped printscreen to be my
home key when using Cygwin.)
