Thanks Chris, for working with me on this!!!

I've attached a zip with the following 4 files, per your instructions (except I happen to have my nxerver.log in an /nx subdirectory of /var/log):

mikem at destiny:/var/log/nx$ unzip -l nx2vnc.zip
Archive:  nx2vnc.zip
  Length      Date    Time    Name
---------  ---------- -----   ----
    82199  2013-04-14 18:54   usr/lib/nx/nxnode
    56405  2013-04-14 18:54   usr/lib/nx/nxserver
    31109  2013-04-14 19:10   usr/lib/nx/nxloadconfig
     5393  2013-04-16 16:20   var/log/nx/nxserver.log
---------                     -------
   175106                     4 files

NOTE: recent datestamps are because I move originals (e.g. "mv nxnode nxnode.orig") and then copy them back into place ("cp nxnode.orig nxnode") when I start mucking around, so my backup files are truly originals, with datestamp & permissions, etc., retained.

The scripts are all unmodified except for nxloadconfig, as below:

mikem at destiny:/usr/lib/nx$ diff nxnode.orig nxnode
mikem at destiny:/usr/lib/nx$ diff nxserver.orig nxserver
mikem at destiny:/usr/lib/nx$ diff /usr/bin/nxloadconfig.orig /usr/bin/nxloadconfig
269c269
< ENABLE_EXTERNAL_NXVIEWER="0"
---
> ENABLE_EXTERNAL_NXVIEWER="1"
mikem at destiny:/usr/lib/nx$

Also, just FYI:

mikem at destiny:~$ which vncviewer
/usr/bin/vncviewer
mikem at destiny:~$ which vncpasswd
/usr/bin/vncpasswd
mikem at destiny:~$ which nxpasswd
mikem at destiny:~$ locate nxviewer
/usr/lib/nx/nxviewer_helper
mikem at destiny:~$

Thanks again, I am truly grateful to have another pair of eyes on this!!!

Sincerely, MikeM
