[FreeNX-kNX] Long connection establishment when using Ubuntu Lucid NX 3.4.0 packages

Hi all,

I've been trying to set up an NX-enabled Ubuntu server for the last two
days and now finally got a good setup working.
I especially needed to get a good connection from both Windows and Linux
clients. For Windows, I could only use the official NoMachine NX Client
as all OpenNX builds crashed in my tests.

Unfortunately, the Windows NoMachine NX Client (both 3.3.0 and 3.4.0)
needs around one minute and a half to connect to my server when using
the Ubuntu Lucid packages in version 3.4.0 provided by the FreeNX-Team PPA.
I quickly noticed that using the non-free NoMachine 3.4.0 packages along
with NX Server Free Edition reduces this time to reasonable 7 seconds.
The problem was also unrelated to the actual server used, both
freenx-server and neatx-server were affected by it (well, they were
using the same nxagent 3.4.0 package).

I finally "solved" the problem by using the Karmic packages instead of
the ones for Lucid. They are still at version 3.3.0 and I can get a
reasonable 7 seconds connection time using them.

Can anybody tell me what's going wrong with 3.4.0 or maybe just fix the
Lucid packages?
If not, you have at least a solution now :-)

Best regards,

Colin Finck
