It doesn't. The things shared between are the compression/decompression
proxy and agent programs, which translate X11 protocol connections, and
some helpers like nxssh, nxesd etc, I think.

All the infrastructure (nxserver, nxnode) which does user
authentication, session management, setup and teardown of these
proxy/agent programs is different. FreeNX uses a bunch of bash scripts,
while nomachine uses some precompiled perl stuff.
