No, it's not.

Because it is a very generic word. It does not poke the curiousness
of a casual reader. "Very Long Screen Cable" tickles the interest by
the added adjective (and who does use a "very long" screen cable
anyway, in his everyday home user life?).

The disadvantage of it is just that VLSC doesnt make for a very good
acronym.

But the base idea of the very long screen (and mouse and keyboard
and audio and printer and ...) cables does describe *very* nicely even
to the most newbie-like users what the main use-case of NX for him
may be....

That's irrelevant, given the above arguments.

Using "ScreenCable" as a standalone phrase looses all descriptiveness
and appeal. Why would you want to replace the standard screen cable
(physical) with one that is done in software (virtual)? You *need* the
to convey the "very long", the "even around the globe" part in order to
show that this software does something for which no physical gear does
even exist.
