This problem got already mentioned some weeks ago in this list twice - 
no suitable solution besides reverting back to 1.4 does not exist to my 
knowledge.

Sure. But could you resume with NM 1.4 client and save the log and do 
the same with 1.5?  If there is a difference, it will be in those logs.
