[FreeNX-kNX] nxnode_start: command not found

Moin,

I try to setup a nxserver on a gentoo box. I can login from a ibook
with ssh but dont get any output, only a connection timeout. I can see
hanging sshd(nx) session in ps output an nxserver --history gives me:

NX> 100 NXSERVER - Version 1.4.0-02 OS_(GPL)
/usr/NX/bin/nxserver: line 960: nxnode_start: command not found

I don't know whats wrong with the setup. Are there issues with x.org?
