--------------------------------------------------------------------
Proposal 5:
Create, complete or polish a way to map local NX client devices to
remote NX sessions
--------------------------------------------------------------------

FreeNX (or NX) currently lack a way to make local devices
(USB-connected cameras, serial-connected PDAs) visible in the remote
NX session.

Essential parts of this project:
--------------------------------
* tbe new "freenx device mapping utility" should provide a generic
way to mount or map local NX client devices to the remote (Free)NX
server in a secure way so that the NX session programs can access
  them.
* the new "freenx device mapping utility" must at least support
mounting of serial and USB devices (mounting of simple file shares
that are on an USB-stick or -drive do not count, as that is already
  working, via Samba/SMB/CIFS mounting).
* the new "freenx device mapping utility" must be fully documented.
