The problem with audio and video is to ensure that they work
well across a wide range of network conditions, changing often
during the time-life of the connection. A good audio and video
streaming solution requires a considerable amount of work.

The take of NX is to efficiently transport whatever protocol is
the best for the job and ensure that applications become aware
of its existence. It seems that both KDE and GNOME are going
toward a GStreamer based solution. Did you try playing with
GStreamer? Do you think it is a good option for the needs of a
MM enabled network computing solution?
