I upgraded to the latest version of nxclient.
now, upon connection this is the output that I get:

nxssh: illegal option -- S
Usage: nxssh [options] host [command]
Options:
  -nx         Use ssh in nx mode. (Only if it is first argument)
  -delkey known_hosts row  Delete the key in known_hosts
  -l username   Log in using this username.

...

It seems that there are incompatibalities even among 1.4.0 version but
different releases, or perhaps I am wrong?
