    <p>I am completing testing on a java tool which can massage groups: </p>

    <ul>

      <li>select groups to work on based on album tree or group size</li>

      <li>change the leader based on preferred  extension, relative

        size, or to simply follow the leader; </li>

      <li>make ratings of all images in the group be the same, using the

        lowest rating, highest rating, or follow the leader</li>

      <li>make tags of all groups the same, using the intersection of

        all tags, union of all tags, or follow the leader</li>

    </ul>

    <p>I want to offer this tool to the Digikam community as open

      source.</p>

    <p>Is there a preferred way of doing so?  </p>
