<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi Mick,</div><div><br></div><div>If you do not have a huge number of faces tagged and really want to just start over to get your process figured you, you could make use of the very scary <strong>Reset and clear all faces and training </strong>option in the Tools > Maintenance menu described in the manual on the bottom of the page <a href="https://docs.digikam.org/en/maintenance_tools/maintenance_faces.html">Detect</a><a href="https://docs.digikam.org/en/maintenance_tools/maintenance_faces.html"> and Recognize Faces</a>.</div><div><br></div><div>Otherwise you can select files in several different views, right click and select Remove All Faces. I believe that should allow a subsequent Scan for Faces operation to act like you had just imported those photos and not done any face tagging yet. You could do this from the root album with the View > Include Album Sub-Tree option selected, or you could go to your People sidebar and select many photos that definitely have faces tagged already, and then right click as described.</div><div><br></div><div>Regarding your earlier question about confirming all suggestions for a person: What I do is click the horizontal bar with the person's name, which seems to select all photos contained under it. I then scroll down to confirm they are actually correct, and hold down Ctrl + click any to remove from the selection. Then when I get to the bottom for that selection, I hover over any of the selected photos and click the confirm/checkmark button. That seems to apply the confirmation then to all selected photos. Note I occasionally have issues with this if I somehow triggered a rescan in the background, which is possible with some of the settings.</div><div><br></div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div>—</div><div>Charlie Gorichanaz</div></div></div></div><br></div><br><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Tue, Sep 2, 2025 at 1:31 AM Mick Sulley <<a href="mailto:mick@sulley.info">mick@sulley.info</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex">Hi Steve,<br>
<br>
When I tried it the other day it seemed that there was only one face <br>
with the confirmation boxes underneath, the others were blank until I <br>
had confirmed the first one. I will try again when I have some more faces.<br>

Your solution to question 2 sounds perfect, thank you.<br>
<br>
Just wondering, is there any way to remove a bunch of face tags so that <br>
I could try again?<br>
