Face detection/recognition is currently no longer available in the
maintenance tool, only other face management tasks.
Face detection/recognition is only included in the People view.

If I start from here
How do I get to select a rescan of the existing database to take into
account faces that I have added names to?
I've upgraded to 8.8.0
Sorry for being stupid but there is something that must be obvious to
others that I am missing

Hi,
Do you talk about the Setup/Mics/Behavior dialog panel ?

Take care. In 8.7.0 few important bugs have been found just after the
release, and there are now fixed in next 8.8.0. We have a daily build
bundles available for testing. 8.8.0 will be a bug fix releases
without no huge new features. At least for face managements, no new
stuff are implemented, only bug fix. Files are there:

The list files closed are available in current NEWS file from the git

Courtesy of Google I have found that to force a rescan of faces after
identifying more faces, I need to change an option in "scan settings". My
problem is I can't find "scan settings", can anyone point me in the right
direction. Am using digiKam 8.7.0 under Windows 10
Thank you
