I finally noticed 8.7.0 (Git Revision 4a1f7f83, MacOS Sonoma 14.7.6) is out, so I downloaded it and ran a full face scan/recognition process. My settings are as follows:

Search In: All Albums
Workflow: Scan all images
Face Detection Accuracy: Default
Face Size: Medium
Face Recognition Settings: Default
Work on all processor cores: Checked

I ran the scan for my nearly 100K images. it took it abotu 8–10 hours.
After the process competed, I clicked on a name and confirmed some images. The scan/recognize process started all over again.
I changed the settings to Search in No Albums and only scan new images but did not run a new scan. I quit and restarted.
The same thing happened when I started DigiKam again and confirmed a few more faces.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior? Should I report it as a bug?

Thanks,
Carol
