    <p>Just install DigiKam 8.5 on Ubuntu 24.04.1.   Installed using the

      AppCenter app that come with Ubuntu.   This tool recently added

      the DigiKam 8.5 version from the prior 8.2 that I had.<br>

      <br>

      When I start the new 8.5 I get the message that Exiftool can not

      be found.   When I click on find,  Digikam crashes.   <br>

      <br>

      Exiftool is installed.   From a command box exiftool is found and

      will query photos.   Exiftool was installed with the standard

      command lines for installing everything.<br>

      <br>

      I saw there was a previous bug report on a similar issues and some

      comments from others with the exact same issue as mine.  Same

      Ubuntu, same DigiKam,   I was not able to reopen the issue.<br>

      Does anyone know of a solution to this issue.<br>
