<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">On startup the old disk location was reported.which I opted to "deal with later"</p>

<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">To do so I added the "new" collection and a rescan commenced and was progressing unremarkable until digikam suddenly crashed.</p>

<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">On restating digikam now produces the same disk location dialogue but promptly crashes.</p>

<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">Starting from the command line yields the messages below.</p>

<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">I'd appreciate any advice </p>

<li>b) where I might find the digikam logs - I can't see anything specific in /var/log</li>
