<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi Nadine,</div><div><br></div><div>This white screen problem has been already reported. This is due to an OpenGL incompatibility on your video card driver with the Qt frameworks.</div><div><br></div><div>Did you use the Qt5 or Qt6 version of digiKam ? It's suffixed in the installer file name. The Qt6 version (which is the recommended) must fix the problem.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Best</div><div><br></div><div>Gilles Caulier<br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">Le lun. 18 nov. 2024 à 14:53, Nadine Helkenn <<a href="mailto:cnhelkenn@comcast.net">cnhelkenn@comcast.net</a>> a écrit :<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div><div dir="ltr"><div>

To my surprise, it came up with basically a blank white screen. I can access the image editor & see the selected image. Briefly I was able to see the menu items at the top & the status bar at the bottom. But my thumbnail view stays all white. I do not see the image when I select preview. I can open the 'Edit Metadata' window. I can find 'Properties', 'Metadata', 'Colors', etc along the right-hand edge & left-hand edge of the screen. I see no frames around the images & no format info, nor blue around the selected image. The pop-up at the bottom of screen tells me that 'Find new items' has finished.
