It may be your phone connects in mode MTP or PTP, which allows only one <br>
connection at a time. Windows is known to "grab" the device as soon as you <br>
plug in the USB, so there's no connection available for Digikam.<br>
<br>
But as you can connect with File Explorer, you can use that to transfer your <br>
files to your hard disk, Digikam's albums are directories on your disk. You <br>
may have to tell Digikam to refresh a new directory, or one where you have <br>
added images.<br>
