<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi,</div><div><br></div><div>Well it's simple. Forgot the Application store to install digiKam. As an application which needs access to the host operating system a lot, the sandboxing used by the store is just a pain.</div><div><br></div><div>Try the AppImage bundle that we package for Linux. It will work better. The 8.2.0 pre-release is available here:</div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://files.kde.org/digikam/">https://files.kde.org/digikam/</a></div><div><br></div><div>Nota: I don't know why the Linux distro tries to force us to use a very limited sandoxing policy. It's just an idiot idea at all. When installing Ubuntu on my computer, Snap is the first thing that I drop completely from the system (for ex to install Firefox).<br></div><div><br></div><div>Best <br></div><div><br></div><div>Gilles Caulier<br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">Le mar. 31 oct. 2023 à 18:22, Jethro Busby <<a href="mailto:jethrobusby@gmail.com">jethrobusby@gmail.com</a>> a écrit :<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div>Hi all,</div><div>I used to use Digikam with Windows, and everything worked fine.
