It seems that old tags that were previously deleted come back during the rebuild process. Perhaps I am just impatient. I have made attempts about a year ago to use an internal MySql server with MariaDB without success. It turned out that MariaDB was not working well with DigiKam. I am waiting to find out if/when that situation changes so that I can try again. I do have in excess of 100k images. Until then, I work with SQLite. For the time being, I am working on digitizing old family photos so that I can create a portable slideshow (probably on DVDs or Bluray) for sharing with my husband’s siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, & our own children. It’s a very large task. Ultimately, I hope to archive my images in an organized manner so that they can be available to pass on to my children & grandchildren.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">I have a couple of other questions about working with DigiKam, but I will post them in different threads.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Thank you & Maik for your assistance.
