database contains a pointer to the thumbnails' associated image
files.
E.g. this appears in FilePaths for one of my thumbnail records:
Q:/Photo/ScannedFilm/P3S41.tif
I gather that if I move the image files, I have to change the
FilePaths entries.
The only way I know to do this is to dump the database, edit the
dump, and restore the database.
E.g. if I move my files to folder R:/Photos/, I can change the
FilePaths to the new folder name.
That seems simple enough, though tedious, and one is unlikely to
move the images often.
Even so, is there a way to tell DigiKam to make the changes
throughout the database?
I tell DigiKam to change all instances of "Q:/Photo/ScannedFilm"
to "R:/Photos"?
