<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small">Hello everyone,<br><br>I am a newcomer (72 years old) who went to discover digiKam (Version 7.8.0 on Windows 10 since October 11, I live in France in Ezy-sur-Eure 70 km from Paris I am retired from the aeronautics (Flight Control Systems).<br><br>Not finding substantial product documentation in French, I decided to fully translate the original manual (I'm in first draft on page 220/320, a lot of work ), but it will take me another 1.5 months or so to finish it. as faithfully as possible to the product.<br><br>In this context, I test all the functions one by one in order to fully understand their use and take all the screenshots of the French version of the product.<br><br>First observations:<br> • For the attention of persons in charge of documentation<br> ◦ The manual is very rich (almost too much), it is very informative, many topics overflow from the User Manual, which makes it difficult to maintain and translate. The related knowledge part could be documented separately (file formats, DAM methods, tool algorithms...etc)<br> ◦ Functions are in the documentation but not in the product and vice versa (which makes the translation very complex)<br> ◦ If you wish, I will make a detailed point of the discrepancies and shortcomings (very many towards the end … "to do" ;-) …)<br> <br> • For the attention of people in charge of developments<br> • Translating certain tools that don't work (in my version under Windows 10), even if there aren't many of them, is not easy, if only to take screenshots … (such as importing cameras)<br> • If you wish, I will later make a detailed point of the anomalies observed<br><br>For now, regardless of the Manual, I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product, in 15 days of all-out testing I only had one crash (in the Clone Repair function).<br>For the Improvements I don't know who to address my requests to… I will prepare a small list by the end of November. documentation substantielle du produit en français, j’ai décidé
de traduire entièrement le manuel d’origine (je suis dans première
ébauche à la page 220/320, beaucoup de travail), mais il me faudra encore 1,5 mois
environ pour la terminer le plus fidèlement possible par rapport au
produit.</span><br></p>

teste une à une toutes les fonctions afin d’en bien comprendre
l’utilisation et faire toutes les captures d’écrans de la
version française du produit.</span><br></p>

des personnes en charge de la documentation</p>

très riche (presque trop), il est très instructif, de nombreux
sujets débordent du Manuel d’utilisation, ce qui le rend
difficile à entretenir et à traduire. La partie connaissances
connexes pourrait être documentée séparément (formats de
fichiers, méthodes DAM, Algorithmes des outils...etc)</p>

sont dans la documentation mais pas dans le produit et l’inverse
aussi (ce qui rend très complexe la traduction)</p>

souhaitez, je ferais un point détaillé des divergences et des
manquements (très nombreux vers la fin … « à faire » ;-)
… )

traduction de certains outils qui ne fonctionnent pas (dans ma
version sous Windows 10), même s’il n’y en a pas beaucoup,
n’est pas chose aisée ne serait-ce que pour réaliser des
captures d’écrans … (comme par exemple l’importation
d’appareils photos)</p>

souhaitez, je ferais ultérieurement un point détaillé des
anomalies constatées

indépendamment du Manuel, je suis agréablement surpris de la
qualité de ce produit, en 15 jours de tests tous azimuts je n’ai
eu qu’un plantage (dans la fonction Réparation par clonage).</span><br></p>
<p style="line-height:100%;margin-bottom:0cm;background:transparent">Pour les
Améliorations je ne sais à qui adresser mes demandes… Je vais
préparer une petite liste d’ici la fin du mois de novembre. Elles
concernent les outils de l’éditeur d’images (certains outils
fonctionnent parfaitement, certains manquent d’ergonomie, certains
autres sont énigmatiques …), je trouve que pour la partie
classement il n’y a pratiquement rien à dire sauf peut-être la
possibilité d’avoir une clef de tri sur les éléments de
recherches.</p>
