            (Neon ISO from 10 October, 2022) of KDE Neon. I have a fully
            working installation of MariaDB-server(v10.3.34) running on
            localhost. I am using Digikam 7.8.0 and it is working very
            well with the sqlitedb. I'm attempting to migrate Digikam
            from the sqlite to mysql (mariadb).</p>

                directions from <a
href="https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/digikam-doc/digikam/using-setup.html#using-setup-database"
                  class="_3t5uN8xUmg0TOwRCOGQEcU" rel="noopener nofollow
                  ugc" target="_blank">KDE digikam doc</a> AND the
                installation instructions referred to by that doc for <a
href="http://www.liquidweb.com/kb/how-to-install-mariadb-5-5-on-ubuntu-14-04-lts/"
                  class="_3t5uN8xUmg0TOwRCOGQEcU" rel="noopener nofollow
                  ugc" target="_blank">installing MariaDB</a>.</p>

              <p class="_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM">I've confirmed that
                MariaDB is installed and running on localhost:3306.</p>

              <p class="_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM">I've created a database
                named "digikam" and assigned a user "admin" with full
                privileges and confirmed that the "digikam" DB exists
                and is accessible using the mysql terminal, and external
                apps (DB Browser and DBeaver).</p>

              <p class="_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM">In Digikam, the
                database "Requirements" section indicates that all the
                mysql requirements are met.</p>

          <p class="_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM">When I setup the MySql
            database connection in Digikam using the correct parameters,
            and then try "Test Connection", I get a popup window that
            tells me:</p>

              not successful. Error was: Driver not loaded Driver not
              loaded</code></p>
          <p class="_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM">What Drivers?? This happens
            when attempting to test the connection in either the
            database migration OR the digikam database setup. I've
            searched the web and reddit quite a bit over the past few
            days and I see nothing that suggests a solution.</p>
          <p class="_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM">Any ideas?</p>
