Finally I installed your latest .appimage and I have a nice
7.3 running perfectly with MariaDB connection working fine.
Thanks a lot,

If you can't choose anything other than SQLite, the digiKam version was
compiled without MySQL support. If no current native Ubuntu packages from
digiKam are available, use our AppImage.

<pre class="moz-quote-pre" wrap="">Hi,
The digiKam 7.3.0 version I installed does not let me choose
any other database than SQLite. I would like to use MariaDb
instead. I have read details here:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/digikam-doc/digikam/using-setup.html#using-se">https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/digikam-doc/digikam/using-setup.html#using-se</a>
tup-database
Is this the correct behaviour or did I overlook something ?
I joined a small printscreen to illustrate the behaviour in context,
hoping this is ok with the mailing list rules.
Using digiKam 7.3.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 installed with:
sudo snap install digikam
[sudo] password for dude:
digikam 7.3.0 from KDE✓ installed
MariaDb database also installed and running.
Thanks for any direction to docs or FAQ I might have missed,
Patrick
