<p>Hello,</p>
<p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px;">I installed Digikam 7.0.0, Build date: Jul 20 2020 using Flatpack on Manjaro 20.0 KDE. The installation could only be installed in /home/dan/Pictures, no other choice. Also can not create additional collections in Configure digikam - not Local, not on Removable Media, and not on Network Shares. However, additional collections can be created but only if the folder is in /home/dan/Pictures, no other choice. </p>
<p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px;">What is going on or what am I missing?</p>

Since 7.0.0 you have Flatpak bundle available on flat hub repository
