Hello

I have a 64bit machine and use OpenSuse with Gnome and have used
digiKam a lot in past versions of my OS, but since I went onto
OpenSuse Leap 41.3 I could not get digiKam to load the database
and my photos. I gave up for some time and used the Windows
version (which I don't like as much as it doesn't handle batch
resizing like the Linux version).

I thought I'd just wait till the new release of Leap 15.0 was out
and reload it then. Well I have a brand new install of Leap 15.0
and I installed digiKam without any problems. It installed as
normal which includes installing a whole heap of KDE software. But
when I try to load the program it gets to the point of trying to
load the database and hangs up with the message - "Error while
opening the database. digiKam will try to automatically reconnect
to the database." It just stops there.

I thought perhaps SQlite hadn't been loaded and went to the
Software manager where I saw that libsqlite3-0 was installed. I
scrolled down and installed sqlite3 to see if it would help, but
no it didn't.

I need someone's help please as I really love this photo editor.

Regards
