I had not removed 4.2 and started digikam from the MATE menu. I
have since started digikam 5.5 and have run it successfully
without problems, though I haven't tried the tags tab yet. I
don't know what gdb is and I haven't figured it out online or on
the digikam handbook. I think it must be a database.</font><br>

I am a new user of digikam. My operating system is Ubuntu Mate

installed ver. 5.5 recently and began to use it and learn about

tags manager the screen locked without an error message. I was

a hard boot. On restart digikam could not connect to the
