My apologies, I don't understand. DigiKam and kimageformats were both already installed from Gentoo portage when I started my computer this morning. So I don't think restarting the computer will change anything.<br>

Is it possible that, in order to read the .kra embedded png, digiKam requires some additional qt5 or kframeworks components, or other libraries, that I might not have installed?<br>

Is "kbuildsyscoca5" an executable that can be run from the command line (I thought it was, but maybe I'm misremembering)? If it is an executable, apparently it's not currently installed on my system. What package is it in?<br>
