<p>I am quite a newbie to digiKam, I am experiencing problems when I open digiKam.</p>

<p>It gives me an error message which reads "Failed to create tables in database".</p>

</p>

<p>My database is stored on an external hard drive.</p>

</p>

<p>Any advice would be appreciated.</p>
