I have just run digikam from the commandline and see the following in the console for my .MOV files:-<br>

Ah for Linux, this is not a problem.<br>

Internally, we use Qt5Multimedia to render video thumbs and preview.<br>
Under Linux, Qt5Multimedia use GStreamer backend. You must install<br>
gstreamer packages ("good", "bad",and "ugly" codecs).<br>

Thanks... however I should have pointed out that I am running<br>
openSUSE and have the issue of not being able to see thumbnails for<br>
video .MOV files or indeed play them. The reference in the release<br>
notes seem to imply it is a MAC issue.<br>

Is there a work round for Linux?<br>
