I am running digikam 4.14.21 on openSuse Leap 42.1 KDE
Overall, digikam seems running fine (has been for a long time, a
super piece of work)

Except, recently, for thiss --Here is a scenario:

I import 3 new photos from my hard drive.
They import correctly (I have them renamed as part of the import
process) and display in the album of my choice.
All three appear in Thumbnail view
I edit (crop, enhance) one of the photos and save-as-new-version.
The three original files all have unique names, after edit I see
four files listed and viewable via Dolphin (file manager).

But within digikam, If I have Settings-Configure digikam-Always show
original images un-checked, the originals of all three photos
disappear when I View-Thumbnails.

If I check the "Always show original images" option, I see all three
originals plus the modified photo.

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong, or perhaps SQlite
issue?
Photos and database (SQlite) are on a local Hard Drive

It is acting as if all three photos, or perhaps just all three
thumbnails, are linked together in the "originals - derivatives'
logic.
