My kubuntu-backports PPA only have packages that need to be rebuilt against an updated version of KDE than found in standard Ubuntu of that release version (i.e trusty, utopic, etc). still it won't open any image folders, and won't show any
images, JPEG or RAW.<br>

Using right click on a folder (where I know there are
images) or the menu item 'open in file manager' just crashes
the program.<br>
