<p>dear digikam experts <br></p><p><br></p><p>i noticed a funny & fancy thing - i cannot (!!!) view files & folders on the suse-linux. this is really a serious thing - is it a bug or a feature.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>to begin with the beginning: <br></p><p><br></p><p>i run digiKam version 3.5 on opensuse 13.1</p>
<p>i wonder if i can see images that are not (!!) in a album!?</p>
<p>Why am i not able to do so?</p>
<p>all i can see are images that are associated to an album;</p>
<p>why cant i open images in the document root of my opensuse version 13.1? </p>
<p>if i try to open an Album with the dolphin - i get back the result: </p>
<p>Cannot open the root. It is not a physical location.</p>

If you have Kipi-plugins installed, there's a plugin that lets you upload a<br>
selection of images to Facebook (and there are plugins in many other<br>
directions as well, email among them).<br>

The plugin can be found under Export, if it is turned on. Once the kipi-<br>
plugins are installed, you can turn them on and of in the configuration<br>
(somewhere at the bottom of the list of configuration categories). I don't<br>
recall what the default is, on my computer it's turned off, on my wifes it's<br>
turned on. Opening a Facebook account is a bit of a hassle, as Facebook<br>
refreshes the authentication page with half a second. Easiest is to get the<br>
requested address from your browsers cache after that.<br>
