I suspect somewhere along the way the default of this option might have changed with updates because I dont remember ever having to do anything with this setting on my main desktop PC and it certainly had changed on that PC but the images are organised differently there. On the fresh install on the laptop it was set to By Album and not Flat List.<br>

The situation is that the images in a calendar view are organised<br>
first by album with the earliest date, then the images in that album<br>
are organised by date. This works fine if the albums all do not<br>
contain images from a mixture of all dates and the album date is<br>
selected as oldest. However as soon as the albums all contain a<br>
mixture of dates the calendar view no longer displays all the images<br>
in proper chronological order by image.<br>

Have you checked the View -> Group Images parameter? It should be on<br>
"Flat List" (F7 allows to select one of the three options in sequence).<div class="im"><br>
