Each time I launch Digikam-3.5 I got message 'Unknown database '/mnt/sda6/user/images/<u></u>thumbnails-digikam.db' QMYSQL: Unable to connect'.<br>
When I want to update thumbnails, DK freezes.<br>
I can't add or change tags, DK crashes.<br>
All thumbnails are displayed.<br>

external mysql db</blockquote>And is the device sda6 (maybe an external hard drive, solid state drive, or USB flash drive?) connected? See if you can change the location of the thumbnail database to the main hard drive, just for testing purposes.<br>
