I selected another image and did this: Selected Image Editor and
Resize. In the dialogue box I selected dimensions that would be
about 12mp from a 2mp source. I also selected "Restore
Photograph" since the description of that implied that's what I
want. I hit Try, and after it was done working, Save As. <br>
<br>
The resultant file had no file type, such as .jpg..........and
it was only 81 bytes! <br>

I presume that DK resize is working something like
Reshade, no? www dot reshade dot com The latter
is amazing, you can enlarge photos hugely w/o loss
of detail. This is important to me because I have a
lot of great images that were taken in the digital
dark ages of 2mp cameras. I'd rather do it in
within digiKam.<br>
