Ubuntu is always very late to produce new versions. That's why I switched for Fedora several years ago, especially to get more quickly new versions for Digikam and Scribus at the time, and also Darktable nowadays.<br>Ubuntu is too huge a machine...<br>

Yes I'm realizing that now, but I can't figure out how to get the 2.9 installed. The only one in the package manager (ubuntu 12.04) is 2.4.1. I don't understand why it is so far behind the current version....<br>
