I am finally getting organized a bit and seeking to rename my
pictures with their creation date. I have two questions/issues that
someone may have figured out.
1. I have been setting my camera to local time (UTC-5/4 - USA East
Coast). The file times on the SD card are set to that time, but when
I use [date:ISO] or a custom date format to rename the file, it
treats the file date as UTC and subtracts 4 or 5 hr, depending on my
computer setting of DaylightSavings. I see nothing in the Renaming
Dialog to stop this, or to deal with Timezone in general. Am I
missing something?
1.5 In a related issue, the image metadata appears to be in 24 hour
format, but Digikam seems to want to work in AM/PM, which is the way
I normally set time for the desktop. Is there a way to get Digikam
to use 24 hour clock for naming, but leave the desktop set AM/PM?
2. I tried using

[meta:Exif.Image.DateTimeOriginal]
as the date, but it appears to return a null string. The
DateTimeOriginal value is set in the EXIF Metadata, I can see it
in the side panel. Do I need to specify a format? How?

margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px;">Thanks
