The UI is not very talkative, and the first steps are often difficult for the user (I've waited some time before making the plunge ...)
But you'll find plenty of information on the official site:
user manual http://www.darktable.org/usermanual/index.html.php
and several videos very helpful.

There is also a mailing-list that is as helpful and dynamic as Digikam's.

Marie-Noëlle

2012/1/3 DB <Freddog_de@yahoo.co.uk>
Sadly... Doing <Import><Folder> goes to the "Import Film" file manager, where if I highlight the Folder Name at the left & then hit <Open>, apparently NOTHING happens - at least, the folder name now appears in the "Collect images" window, but no pictures anywhere....
Is there no Help file attached to DArktable??? Nor any sort of Toolbar???
Thanks for your help
