I removed the package, then reinstalled it from the main repository.<br>Using a copy of a previous backupped DB, I have been able to launch Digikam, and use Refresh in order to update the DB before exiting Digikam.<br>Same error ("Impossible d'effectuer la mise à jour du schéma ...") at the relaunch.<br>

<br>Both times, I launched DK from the console, and both time I got the message:<br>digikam<br>libdc1394 error: Failed to initialize libdc1394<br>QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'ConnectionTest' is still in use, all queries will cease to work.<br>

QPainter::begin: Widget painting can only begin as a result of a paintEvent<br>QPainter::translate: Painter not active<br>QPainter::setClipRect: Painter not active<br><br><br>I just tested on my netbook, that has exactly the same configuration, but on a 32 bits. Digikam run without a clinch. I've launched it 4 times in a row and didn't get any error. If I run it from the console, I also have the libdc1394 error message, but Digikam works nonetheless!<br>

<br>So, the libdc1394 doesn't seem related to the actual DB corruption and Digikam crashes.<br>Could it be some pilot problem? Or something that's different between my 2 computers.<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

</div>Jep, that is OK. Only changes or missing files are reported. I have the same<br>
lib installed but mine is installed from fedora main repository. can you try<br>
to remove the package and readd it afterwards?<br>
