<big>Despite successfully installing Virtual Box Guest Additions on

Ubuntu in VB, I cannot access my other partitions.  If I go into

/media, there they are but with an X on them.  I read something this AM

in Wikipedia about Ubuntu that implies that this is intentional to

protect us from ourselves.<br>

Is there a way around this?  I can't play with dK in Ubuntu w/o

accessing my other partitions. <br>
